The Great Release

Hi! Lea Sheldan here to tell you about the year of 'The Great Release'. Mark Sheldan and I joined Distrokid and have begun to release all of our songs out to the world! Deezer was first, then Spotify and other global downloading and streaming platforms. Our mission for 2019: Release 52 songs in 52 weeks. This is a big challenge because we only have around 40 songs recorded... so we'll have to get into the studio and finish up some oldies and put down some new ones. And - the hunt for a new MAC computer and Logic program has begun. So if anyone knows of anyone. please let me know...

The first song on my list is 'Coming Home'. A couple people have said this is their favourite track on the 'Anything Goes' album. It features Mark Sheldan on a home-made skate board slide guitar built by my dad, Dan Lybarger. The sweet Hawaiian sounds of the slide and my multi-harmonies take you on a mellow journey with lots of heart and a message of family love. When you think of the blues or a country love song you want a story that grabs your insides or gives you the goosies. I think this track does that. If you want a listen, just type in Coming Home or Lea Sheldan on Spotify or any other streaming app you have and sing along with the lyrics below. And thank you for all your continuing support of local, organic music. I'll leave you with my motto: Love. Laugh. Dance. Create. ~*.*~ Lea Sheldan

COMING HOME

They left before the winter snow

Heading South to old Mexico

When they're gone I miss then bad

Thinking about the good times we had

Now I know . . .

They're coming home

They're coming home

They'll drive right into town

Lay their heavy luggage down

And they'll know it's good to be home

I left you standing in the rain

Told myself it was necessary pain

It broke my heart to see you cry

But I'll be back to make you feel alright

Now I know

I'm coming home

Yes, I'm coming home

I'll walk right through the door

See your smiling face once more

And I'll know it's good to be home

Sometimes we make choices that we don't like

Sometimes we have to say goodbye

All I know that when I'm on the road

I hold you close

I'm coming home

I'm coming home

I'll drive right into town

Lay my heavy luggage down

And I'll know it's good to be home

Yes, I'm coming home

I'll walk right through the door

See your smiling face once more

And I'll know it's good to be home

I'm coming home, I'm coming home

I'm coming home, I'm coming home
