One of the very first songs I wrote was of course about a boy that had me in a tizzy. I wanted to be rock and roll but all I felt was blue. Sometimes you have to sing to chase that pain away. I didn't know many chords back then and my voice wasn't fully developed and yet Mark and I put together a beautiful version of this on our first album: 'Country Love'. It was recorded in a studio barn out in Maple Ridge. With real tape, people! As you can ascertain from the photo of me on the cover, it was a long time ago. LOL

This year, we are pulling out old songs and revamping them for your streaming pleasure. Mark noodles all the way through this love ballad on his old Guild guitar. I utilized all the jazz chords I knew on my Telecaster and added a chunky strum technique to make it interesting. My voice sounds so young it's hilarious and the harmonies are very simple but effective. It's blues, jazz and rock all mashed up together.
Here are a few old shots of me and Mark twenty some odd years ago. Back when Mark had hair! LOL We met making music and still love to play but now we are able to record it all ourselves. Back then it was two inch tape and expensive studio time and now, it's all digital and done in an instant, practically free.
Thank you to all those who download and listen to our music. Please continue to support organic, homegrown music and local artists. Here's my latest Fibre Art. My niece Aurora wants me to sell it and give the proceeds to Australia. I think I might do that... Any takers? Until next time, Love Laugh and Dance! Lea Sheldan
