Don't Be A Scrooge

Let me introduce Marley J. - a future singer, dancer, drummer and musician extraordinaire: His first birthday was on Sunday, so here is a song that captured his little voice and his mom, Aurora on tape. Listen for him at the very beginning and a couple times in the middle. It's a happy Christmas carol, the third one on the list so far. Expect at least one a month until we have a full album. I know it's Springtime but the message of the story is true for any day of the year!

I've been doing such dreary, slow melodies of late that I decided to put out a joyful, bouncy, positive one. Yes, it talks about people being grouchy and down on their luck like always, but somehow, I found a glimmering of light that I had to share with y'all. I had lots of fun putting down the bass lines and Mark Sheldan did his natural born talented thang on the blues harp and threw in some funky bass licks of his own. (MarkSheldan.com) This groovy little pop song has an easy sing-along chorus featuring my harmonies as well as Aurora Lybarger singing her heart out. The drums gave me trouble but I persevered and it turned out to be a toe tapping, get up and dance kinda number.

Mark grabbed the old dulcimer off the wall, dusted and polished it, tuned it to C (G C G) and then proceeded to make up a little ditty. He wanted to demonstrate how fun and easy it is to create magic with only three strings.
