Sure As The Morn

The mood is Celtic, the message is love and the timber is a perfect storm. This week's slow dance rises and falls like the waves on the ocean, filling your mind with images of ethereal bliss. It's the ideal love song created specially for 'The One'. My dad says, "Nothing's that sure", but I'm here to tell you that real, honest-to-goodness, unconditional love lives and breathes among us. I've seen evidence of it in the crystal blue eyes of my sweetheart, Mark Sheldan. Although, we when we first met, he hid them behind a pair of big, thick, expensive glasses.

Shortly after, he got lasik eye surgery and threw away those ginormous spectacles and saw the world for the beautiful place that it is. That was 25 years ago! WTF? How did time go by that fast? I've written so many songs since then, a lot of them love songs and I feel like this powerful ballad with emotional lyrics that profess undying love and commitment, has some of the most magical moments yet. Here's Mark as Elton John playing our wonderful electric Yamaha piano. (marksheldan.com) That photo was taken at our Halloween party this year. If you look closely, you can see me as Bonnie Raitt in the reflection. I was playing around with the synthesized strings the other day and decided to add it to this recording. It blended nicely with Mark's viola and took the hymn-like serenade to another level. Listen for the storm tube that comes in sporadically and tranquil harmonies in the chorus that I had to think really high up in my brain to reach. No auto-tune people, it's all me. LOL. A simple, yet stunning recording done at Twisted Gitar Music Studio.

Sing along with the lyrics below:

Sure As The Morn

No matter how many clouds in the sky there’s a sun up there

And sooner or later she’s gonna come out to sing

We’ve been up, we’ve been down but what’s turned it around is my love for you

It’s as sure as the morning and pure as a mountain spring

As long as you love me I feel the world is a safer place

When I come home I know your arms will be there

For as long as I can remember you’ve been my best friend

As sure as the morning you’ll be here untill the end

Your love is sure as the morning

Your love is pure as a baby’s heart

Your love is so powerful just like a storm (just like a storm)

And sure as the morn

No matter how many clouds in the sky there’s a sun up there

And sooner or later she’s gonna come out to play

We’ve been up, we’ve been down but what’s turned it around is my love for you

It’s as sure as the morning and sweet as a summer day

My love is sure as the morning

My love is pure as a baby’s heart

My love is so powerful, just like a storm (just like a storm)

Our love is sure as the morning

Our love is pure as a baby's heart

Our love is so powerful, just like a storm (just like a storm)

And sure as the morn

Sure as the morn
