You're Gone

Sun is Here, Rain is Gone, Gone Gone

An erupting volcano of emotions can sometimes free up the mind and calm oneself down. This groovy, goodbye song speaks of destructive times and the inevitable decay of a love affair gone wrong. I wrote it many years ago and revamped it several times before getting to this point. Sometimes a dusty old song can become a beautiful thing through metamorphosis, much like relationships, in a way. With hip drum beats to get you up and moving, this song is a catalyst to help you say,"You're Gone" to those negative thoughts and uncomfortable feelings.

These are some examples of my encaustic art. Thank you Rhianna Featherstone for showing me how to do it and letting me use your iron and wax crayons to create these spectacular pieces for my 'Anything Goes' album. Each one tells a story and carries an array of emotions and drama within it. No wonder I like it; I'm full of emotions and drama too!

Mark wanted to show you how to play a simple 'box slide' scale to accompany any rock or blues song in the key of A. If you have questions about music theory, thirsty for a Facetime Lesson or just want tips on obscure stuff, go to: Music Made Easy on Mark's website. (MarkSheldan.com)

So glad the snow is gone gone gone

I wanted to give this pop-rock number smokey vocals that encompassed the strong, honest lyrics. I did all the harmonies and recorded it in our Twisted Gitar Music Studio den. There's brilliance in the electric guitars that playfully joust back and forth in a careful dance. I played the rhythm and a few leads on my telecaster while Steve Horvat played a bunch of really cool riffs and hooks to make the song come alive. I put down the first bass tracks and then Mark went crazy on his bass filling in another layer of goodness. I like the drum track I put together but of course, what more can I do without a real drummer? It's bouncy and catchy and it gets me up on the dance floor (my kitchen) every time. (Smokeywine.com)

Apple Music, Spotify, Napster and iTunes Match have honoured us with new listeners in Brazil, Australia, France, Mexico, Britain, Italy and of course Canada and US all in March so far. It's hard to believe but our map is steadily growing. We're up over 8 bucks now. LOL. Someone listened to 7th Heaven 19 times and that really boosted us up. I'm just glad people are hearing the musical gems that Mark and I produce. Some of the best ones are yet to come... Thank you for supporting organic, homegrown music and local artists. Keep on keeping on and remember to Love, Laugh and Dance! ~*.*~ Lea Sheldan
