You Are My Man

Bliss is holding hands, staring into each other's eyes and feeling the comfort and ecstasy of a dedicated partner. When this happens it's easy to write love songs till the cows come home. This happy country-folk ditty was written over 25 years ago and speaks of the new exciting love in my life. Surprisingly, we're still together because, as you know, marriage is hard work, fluctuating and changing with every new challenge and adventure and sometimes does not last. I know I am difficult to live with but luckily, I found a man who can handle my insanity.

'You Are My Man' is bluegrass, country-folk happiness that expresses the rapture that comes with having true love. It's Dixie Chicks inspired and a ton of fun. I did my best to strum the acoustic guitar to make it crisp and bouncy while the mandolin, played by my hubby Mark, is on fire as it races through the melodies with reckless abandon. My childlike voice tells the happy-go-lucky story and the Smokeywine harmonies fill the air with joyous vibrations. (Smokeywine.com) Recorded in a barn in Maple Ridge non digitally and it sounds like it too...

What Are We Looking At?

In February, we had some awesome people listening in Taiwan, India, Japan, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Turkey and of course here in Canada and the US. Thank you all for supporting organic, homegrown music and local artists. My new creative project involves curtain chains and paint mixed with additives. Here are some examples of my first attempts... I promise I'll get better. LOL

So take a chance and step over the line to loving blind and remember to Love, Laugh and Dance till the end of time. Cheers! ~*.*~ Lea Sheldan
